Wiesniacy spend a woderfull week in the Baltic sun in the seaside town of Herceg Novi located in the picturesque Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.
July 17th marked an important date in the history books for the dance group, for the first time since Rzeszow in 1999 and for the second time ever Wiesniacy would be flying out to perform at a festival abroad. A huge effort through multiple workshops, hundreds of hours of song and dance practices and fundraising through biesiada and local events allowed the group to fly out in the early hours to Dubrovnik, from where a short minibus drive would take them through to Montenegro.

Each day of the festival we took part in the organisers programme, from tours of the Herceg Novi Old Town, to a boat trip to the beautiful Blue Cave on the Adriatic Coast. An unforgetable experience crowned by our 2 performances in the Town Square alongside other groups. We performed our new Zywiec Highlander choreography along with our great Spisz, getting changed in the immense heat on the street between our performances!
An unforgettable weekend for our dancers which we hope will inspire the group to achieve greater heights and more trips of this sort. A special shoutout to our Polish friends Dolina Slomki from Stronie who we shared our accomodation with and could always count on when a joint drink or two was required !
Bring on the next festival !!
